Mission programme is the Commission’s initiative to tackle big challenges and achieve ambitious goals in health, climate, and the environment by 2030.
28 topics of this programme with an overall budget of more than € 400 million have been already opened on 22 December 2021 and 16 January 2022 (as announced in the previous news: Horizon Europe Mission: 28 new topics are launched » Wheesbee)
Out of these, only one call HORIZON-MISS-2022-CIT-01-01 is still open but European Commission has just published 33 new topics with a total additive budget amount of € 463.815.382 and open forthcoming dates on 12 and 24 May 2022.
These new topics provide funding for projects in these main areas:
- Adaptation to Climate Change: 6 new topics with an overall budget of € 115.315.382
- Cancer, to develop new methods and technologies in cancer screening and early detection, establish measures for the quality of life and preferences of cancer patients and survivors, as well as understand the impact of risk factors and health determinants on the development and progression of cancer: 5 new topics with an overall budget of € 126 Millions
- Restore Ocean and Waters: 10 new topics with an overall budget of € 106 Millions
- Soil Deal: 10 new topics with an overall budget of € 95 Millions
- Mission Climate adaptation and Mission Ocean and waters – Joint demonstration for coastal resilience in the Arctic and Atlantic Sea basin: 1 topic with an overall budget of € 20 Millions
- Creating a transnational network of National Contact Points (NCPs) for EU Missions: 1 topic with an overall budget of € 1.5 Million
